Individualized Parent Support Sessions

Session Goals
  • To help parents create a healthy and safe home environment, fostering physical, emotional and mental well-being for all family members

  • To develop specific plans designed to minimize or mitigate problematic and worrisome behaviors that a child is exhibiting

  • To identify stressors within and outside the home that may be contributing to a child's maladaptive responses

  • To promote relationship-building and attunement, creating an environment of mutual respect for all family members

  • To address conflicts in parenting styles and values that may be impacting a child’s reactions and responses​

Ideal Candidates
  • Parents of children who are exhibiting problematic or worrisome behaviors, including excessive tantrums, physical altercations (hitting, biting others), running away, problematic eating, bullying others

  • Parents experiencing work stressors, family changes, etc. who are struggling to develop effective parenting strategies and interventions within the context of complex lives

  • Parents of children who are themselves targets of bullying

  • Parents who are supporting a child with developmental differences (autism spectrum, learning disabilities ADHD, anxiety)​

Pricing and Details
  • Intake Call

    • Phone call with Dr. Baker lasting approximately 30 minutes, to discuss parents' needs and goals, and to determine whether this service is a therapeutic fit​

    • Free of charge

  • Initial Consult Appointment

    • One 90-minute in-person meeting with Dr. Baker and all caregivers involved in day-to-day care of the child.

    • Cost: $300 for initial consult

  • Weekly Sessions

    • Weekly, 50-minute sessions with Dr. Baker and caregiver(s)

    • Schedule permitting, may be conducted at the same time as child's Project CHILLD therapies

    • Preferably conducted in person, although Zoom accommodations can be made when necessary

    • Cost: $200 per session

This service is not being billed to insurance at this time and must be paid for privately.
