Kathy Carley, MS OTR/L is an occupational therapist who has specialized in pediatric practice, treating clients with neurological disorders, learning disabilities, and autism for over 25 years. In 1978 she received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She relocated to Massachusetts and began working in the public schools. Kathy was hired to develop the occupational therapy program in the Wakefield Public Schools and then as Coordinator of Occupational Therapy for Harbor Area Rehabilitation Therapies. She received a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Sargent College, Boston University in 1989. Her pediatric occupational therapy experience includes working in the school systems; early intervention, private clinics, hospitals and community based programs. She worked as clinical director for Occupational Therapy Associates, as Program Director and Administrator of Giant Steps, a private school for children with Autism and has been in private practice for seven years. Currently she is a visiting instructor for Salem State College in their newly developed Occupational Therapy Department.
